Description
SCREW CHAIR(2023)는 의자를 구성하는 모든 부속들이 단일 재생 플라스틱으로 이루어는 것을 목표로 기획되었습니다. 디자인 단계에서부터 이 제품이 재활용될 것이라는 것을 염두에 두고 사용 목적이 다할 경우 별도의 나사 등 이물질을 분해 및 분리할 필요 없이 의자 전체를 파쇄해서 소재를 만들 수 있도록 한 것이지요. 의자와 상부와 측면부를 연결하는 연결 부위 역시 일반적인 의자에 활용되는 나사가 아닌 일상에서 흔히 구할 수 있는 병뚜껑으로 구현되었습니다.

SCREW CHAIR (2023) was designed with the goal of creating all its components from a single type of recycled plastic. From the design stage, the chair was conceived to be fully recyclable, ensuring that once its purpose is fulfilled, the entire chair can be shredded into raw material without the need to dismantle or separate foreign elements like screws.
The connection points between the seat, upper, and side sections were also innovatively crafted—not with conventional screws, but with everyday items such as bottle caps, emphasizing accessibility and sustainability.
